Come join us for a restorative and contemplative experience inspired by Kintsugi– the Japanese art form that repairs broken objects and approaches breakage as something to be highlighted vs. hidden.
This workshop will include personal reflection, art-making (repairing a broken ceramic vessel), learning about the Japanese art of Kintsugi, and group sharing (which will take place at the conclusion of the workshop).
Together, we will be invited to tend to the sacred reality of imperfection and notice the beauty in our stories.
Come slow down and play with colors! In this intuitive watercolor workshop, we’ll practice letting go of the pressure to make something “perfect” and instead letting our curiosity guide us as we paint loose, expressive florals through simple prompts and playful experimentation.
This beginner-friendly workshop is more than a watercolor class. It’s an invitation to try something new and to connect with others in a relaxed and meaningful way.
No art experience is needed—just a willingness to play, notice, and see what emerges!
We often hear the phrase, “just let go,” but we all know the reality involved in that action is quite complex and difficult! Join Ruth (a certified spiritual director and creative) and Shannon (a clinical therapist), as they guide you through a mindful art practice using water-soluble pastels to explore the challenge of making counter-intuitive choices that are value-aligned.
Together we'll engage with color and play as a way of noticing what happens within us when we attempt to make choices that feel stretching and uncomfortable.
Many of us carry a lot— we are employees, caregivers, advocates, community members, and ordinary people navigating our own lives and responsibilities. When our attention is pulled in many different directions, it’s easy to feel frazzled, depleted, and disconnected from ourselves.
What if, instead of pushing through the stress, we made space to pause and reconnect with the well of inner wisdom that sustains us? In this workshop, you will be invited to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with a deeper sense of self and purpose. Using mixed-media art materials, gentle journal prompts, and a meditation from Howard Thurman, we will step into a spacious time of reflection and creative exploration.
No artistic experience is needed—only a willingness to pause, listen inward, and create.
This workshop series incorporates a wide range of mediums, including magazine images, journaling, alcohol inks, paint markers and pens for layering.
This workshops series is most suitable for a day or multi-day retreat setting.
In times of ongoing crisis, many of us feel the tension between urgency and exhaustion—between wanting to act and feeling paralyzed. Amid so much upheaval, it can be hard to stay grounded, clear, and connected to what truly matters. Join us for a FREE two-hour guided virtual session based on Deepa Iyer’s workbook Social Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection, where we'll take time to pause, reflect, and discern how we might show up for justice and collective care in this moment.
What You Can Expect
We’ll explore key frameworks from Deepa Iyer's workbook Social Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection—including the values, ecosystems, and roles that sustain collective work—and reflect on how they relate to you and your own context.
You’ll be invited to journal, share, and learn in community with others who are navigating similar questions:
How am I entering this season—ready, weary, or uncertain?
What are my core values and how do they guide my work?
What roles am I best suited to play right now, and what might need to shift?
How can I sustain myself and my communities for the long haul?
Whether you’re new to social change or a seasoned practitioner, my sincerest hope is that you’ll leave with:
Greater clarity about your personal role(s) in social change
Renewed connection to your values and ecosystems
A framework for sustaining long-term engagement
A sense of groundedness and community for the road ahead

This space welcomes anyone who:
Feels called to deepen or renew their engagement in social change
